The Aquila 20C Alabastro is a set of superior/high tension classical guitar strings known for their unique synthetic material, Supernylgut, which mimics the acoustic properties of natural gut strings without the typical drawbacks of high cost and instability.Â
Key features of the Aquila 20C strings include:
- Material:Â The treble strings (E, B, G) are made from white Supernylgut monofilament, while the bass strings (D, A, E) have a Supernylgut multifilament core wound with high-quality silver-plated copper.
- Tone:Â They produce a defined, singing, and rich sound that is often described as soft and warm, rather than overly bright or “snappy” like some nylon strings.
- Performance:Â The strings offer excellent intonation stability under changes in humidity and temperature, a prompt attack, and a wide tonal range. They also have a short stretching phase when first installed.
