The GRG250DX is a GIO RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2009. It was made in Indonesia as part of the entry level GIO line.
The GRG250DX features a basswood body with red binding bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with red binding and red sharktooth position markers. Components include an Edge III double locking tremolo bridge, Ibanez Powersound pickups mounted in a red pickguard with a pair of humbuckerd flanking a single-coil. It is one of the more deluxe models in the GIO line.
Several changes were introduced for 2013 including a new tremolo and jumbo frets. For 2015, the pickups were replaced with Ibanez Infinity R models and the wood species of the body was switched to mahogany.
In 2011, a similar model, the GRG150DXB, was offered featuring yellow accents. The GRG150LTD is visually similar to this model, but has slightly different components.
The GRG250DX was discontinued after 2015.
